What is Pick Your Own Seat?
Pick Your Own Seat seeks to remove the many hours and annoying parts of Managing Seating.
It makes the process a quick and easy one. How do you want to manage seating this year?

Picking Seats
A SeatPicker is a small box in which congregants pick seats. This box takes up very little space on your Shul / Synagogue's website. It is completely customizable to match your website's layout and design.

Open Seating or Assigned Seating
Whether your Synagogue has an Open Seating policy or assigns seats, you can still save time by using Pick Your Own Seat.

Open Seating
  1. In Settings, Administrator enables the Auto Assign / Open Seating option.
  2. Install Pick Your Own Seat on your website.
  3. Congregant picks a seat through the SeatPicker, and gets an email notification.
  4. Congregant can print Seat Ticket.
  5. That's it! You're done!
Assigned Seating
  1. Install Pick Your Own Seat on your website.
  2. Congregant requests a seat through the SeatPicker, and gets an email notification.
  3. Administrator also gets a notification of the request, and can Assign or Deny the seat.
  4. Congregant is then automatically notified of the decision, and can make follow-up arrangements.
  5. That's it! You're done!
Seating Dashboard
In your Seating Dashboard, you, the Administrator, see all the seat requests, and much more.

There are five parts to the Seating Dashboard:
  • New Requests - Think of it like your Inbox. When anyone requests a seat, their request shows up here. You may decide to assign that seat pending payment, assign it immediately, or deny the request.
  • Seats Pending Payment - The seats that were requested and assigned pending payment.
  • Assigned - Seats that are assigned to congregants. You can still remove someone at this point.
  • Available - The list of available seats. You can assign a seat to anyone from here, too.
  • All Seats - An overview of each seat and its reservation status and information.

Note: Depending on your Settings, congregants may be notified when a change is made to their seat or request.
